Follow for a weekly list of forthcoming astronaut* birthdays.
Maybe you share a birthday?!
If not, perhaps it will be you who adds your name to the list?!
If you do share a birthday, what does it mean to you?
Do you feel a connection, pride? They take to the skies (on controlled explosions) to improve the world, to explore (to travel to strange new worlds).

22 July 1942 Toyohiro Akiyama (Tokyo Broadcast) Japan. Akiyama is a Japanese TV journalist best known for his flight to the Mir space station aboard a Soviet Soyuz spacecraft in 1990. He was known as the “Space Journalist” in Japan. There is a small discrepancy with his date of birth between Wikipedia (which states 22 June 1942) and other places which go for 22 July 1942 (such as Britannica, Astronautix and, of course, Supercluster). We will stick with 22 July 1942.
25 July 1932 Paul J. Weitz (NASA) US. Supercluster a bit off with Weitz’s birthday. Wikipedia, NASA and Spacefacts.de confirm 25 July 1932.
25 July 1957 Daniel W. Bursch (NASA) US.
26 July 1949 William Shepherd (NASA) US.
26 July 1951 William S. McArthur (NASA) US.
27 July 1946 Toktar Aubakirov (RKA) Kazakhstan.
27 July 1961 Daniel C. Burbank (NASA) US.
27 July 1972 Sheikh Shukor (ANGKASA) Malaysia.
28 July 1961 Scott Parazynski (NASA) US. Parazynski is the first person to have both flown in space and summited Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth. __________________________________________________________________

PS: I love coffee. BuyMeACoffee, leave a message with a date and time and we can share it, remotely, at the same time, and think about the Cosmos.
In the meantime, take care of yourself and if you can, someone else, too, because as Adam Smith said, “we naturally desire not only to be loved but to be lovely”.
Remember, hope lives here.
